VSAS Registration
The Virginia STEM Advocacy Seminar will be held on Monday, February 19th. This is an opportunity for students to join together in a conference-style setting to learn about STEM education legislation in the current General Assembly session. Industry speakers will present sessions on topics that include information on active STEM education bills, how to lead effective meetings with legislators, how legislation passes through the General Assembly to become law, and more. After the sessions, teams will drive to the Virginia General Assembly at the Capitol to meet with their state legislator offices in the afternoon.
Location: Deep Run High School 4801 (Twin Hickory Rd, Glen Allen, VA 23059)
Hours: Check-in opens at 8 am. Sessions 9 am - 12:30 pm
Lunch will be served at 11:30am
12:30 PM Teams leave Deep Run High School and drive to the General Assembly building at the Capital.
Cost: $25
Materials will be provided. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
