FIRST Lego League
FIRST LEGO League program inspires fourth through eighth graders in science, technology, engineering, and math. The students gain hands-on experience as a team in two ways: designing and programming a robot to automatically carry out missions on a table, researching a problem, and crafting a creative solution.
Many members of Blue Cheese Robotics have "graduated" from one of the FLL teams in the Richmond area. As a team, we make it a priority to spread the ideals of FIRST throughout our community through mentorship and team formation as well as hosting an annual FLL Tournament at Deep Run High School.
How can my child join an FLL team?
Blue Cheese Robotics is proud to mentor terrific FLL teams like the RVA LEGO Lizards. Two avenues are available to find teams for your child to join. Check out the FLL league resource page, which connects you with others looking for groups or team members and provides information on starting your team.
Blue Cheese Robotics also supports local FLL teams through kickoff events and summer camps that teach the basics of the LEGO robotics platform. Check out our calendar to see when we are holding one of our events.
