FIRST Tech Challenge
The FIRST Tech Challenge is a scaled-down version of the FIRST Robotics Competition. For some years, Blue Cheese Robotics rookies (all new members) have participated in this program as an introduction to the world of FIRST. We compete as FTC Team 93 (Blue Cheese Jr.) In 2016-17, we opted to mentor instead of a new team coached by one of our alums. Teams are given a different challenge every year and must build and program a robot using only a standard kit of parts provided to each team. FTC Robots are much smaller than FRC robots and must fit within an 18" by 18" by 18" cube. The FIRST website has interesting stats in an infographic you can view here.
How can my child join an FTC team?
